Accessing Cisco Jabber on an iPhone/iPad Device [iOS]
The Cisco Jabber app allows you to chat and collaborate with your co-workers from your iPhone or iPad.
Below are instructions on how to install the Cisco Jabber app, sign in and sign out of Jabber.
Installation:
STEP 1.
Open the App Store on your device and search for Cisco Jabber and tap Install
App Store link: Cisco Jabber
STEP 2.
When the app has finished installing, tap Open. (Or, launch the Jabber app from the Home screen.)
STEP 3.
When the message to allow Jabber to different permissions displays, tap OK/Allow or Don't Allow depending on your preference.
*Please note that not allowing these permissions may result in losing features within the app.
STEP 4.
Read the notices and license terms and tap Accept.
STEP 5.
A message displays* asking you to let Jabber access the microphone. Tap OK.
*This permission is needed in order for you to complete calls using the app.
Signing In:
STEP 1.
Enter your PBS Email Address (ex. dtiger@pbs.org). Tap Continue.
STEP 2.
Enter your PBS Password.
STEP 3.
When the message asking if you would like to use FaceID with Jabber, tap No or Yes based on your personal preference.
Signing Out:
STEP 1.
Tap the icon in the upper left corner. It's typically your initials.
STEP 2.
Tap Sign Out.
